Professional conditioning and regenerating cream for brows and lashes after chemical restructuring.
Thuya Regenerating Cream is Step 3 of the Thuya Professional lamination system. It completes the treatment following the restructuring and neutralizing stages, helping condition, moisturize, and support the hair after chemical processing.
Its formula contains Argan Oil, known for its emollient and conditioning properties, helping leave brow and lash hairs feeling softer, smoother, and more manageable.
What Is the Role of Step 3?
Steps 1 and 2 chemically restructure the hair. After this process, Step 3 focuses on conditioning and supporting the hair fiber.
Unlike Permanent Gel and Neutralizer Cream, Regenerating Cream is not responsible for breaking or reforming disulfide bonds. Instead, its purpose is to provide conditioning ingredients following the chemical treatment and improve the feel and manageability of the hair.
Why Argan Oil?
Argan Oil is rich in naturally occurring fatty acids and antioxidant compounds and is widely used in hair-care formulations for its emollient and conditioning properties.
Within a post-lamination product, these lipid-based components can help:
- improve softness and manageability
- smooth the feel of the hair surface
- reduce the feeling of dryness following chemical processing
- support shine and a healthier-looking appearance
- provide additional conditioning following Steps 1 and 2
Rather than chemically rebuilding the disulfide bonds altered during lamination, Argan Oil primarily works as a conditioning and lipid-supporting ingredient.
Why Is Step 3 pH Neutral?
Thuya Regenerating Cream has a pH of approximately 7, making it neutral compared with the alkaline Step 1 and strongly acidic Step 2.
At this stage, the main chemical restructuring process has already taken place. Step 3 therefore shifts the focus away from reduction and oxidation toward conditioning and post-treatment care.
This is an important distinction: Step 3 does not “neutralize” Step 1 — that chemical role belongs to Step 2.
Why Is It Left on for 24 Hours?
According to the product protocol, Regenerating Cream is left on the treated brows or lashes for 24 hours following the treatment.
During this initial post-treatment period, clients should follow the recommended aftercare instructions and avoid unnecessarily removing the conditioning product.
The 24-hour recommendation should be presented as part of the manufacturer’s treatment protocol, rather than as a claim that the chemical bond-reformation process requires exactly 24 hours.
